Prof. Holger Morgenstern - Biography
Prof. Holger Morgenstern is the Dean of the Informatics / Computer
Science Faculty and a Professor for IT Security and Informatics. His
teaching and research topics include cybersecurity, digital forensics,
cybercrime, open source intelligence. In the IT Security area, Prof.
Morgenstern led several research projects such as the German parts of
SENTER (“Strengthening European Network Centers of Excellence in
Cybercrime”) and LIVE_FOR (“Criminal Justice Access to Digital
Evidences in the Cloud – LIVE_FORensics”) both co-funded by the European
Commission and the Global Cybercrime Certification Project funded by
ECTEG. He currently leads the cybersecurity part of the BMBF SEKT
Project (IT security of electronic communication systems in smart
textile products). Professor Morgenstern is also a publicly called and
sworn expert witness in the area of computer forensics.
